My site was completed as if I had contracted Susan's whole attention for the process. I talked with Susan,
showed her some colors and themes, answered a bunch of questions and the first draft of the site was pretty much it. Part of the process, and I've heard this from others too, is that the 'discovery' is even helpful for people starting out in business because some great questions are asked that might not be considered. I knew her work, knew the quality of it, but the process was more enjoyable because she was my guide and very much like my business partner as the site got built. Susan is an awesome person and great to work with. She was always prompt with communication (which can be hard to find with tech folks) and was great about chatting in person, on the phone and working over both phone and email. We had a number of consultants doing different aspects of the site, one person was an audio specialist, one was a back-end database specialist, Susan was the design specialist, etc. Susan was great interfacing with these people and knows how to work great with a team. She's filling an important need, because all of the strong web designers I know, work for big companies, and she paid special attention to our project and went above and beyond to navigate the inevitable gray areas of our production (delays from other people, letting us make fixes, etc.)

Her really special skill, was that with her experience as a print designer, she really knows how to make something look good and be clear from a design perspective. I'd happily and totally recommend Susan for your project. I initially found her through a recommendation of a friend and she'll do a great job.
